Defending heavyweight champion Tony Lopez will take on Oregon hopeful Fabiano Scherner this Saturday, Feb. 3, as King of the Cage returns to Lincoln City’s Chinook Winds Casino Resort.

Weigh-ins for this much-anticipated mixed martial arts event will start at 5:30 pm on Friday, Feb. 2, at Aces Sports Bar and Grill, where Nate “the Rock” Quarry of “The Ultimate Fighter” fame will be on hand to meet and greet MMA enthusiasts.

Hailing from Yucaipa, California, Tony “Kryptonite” Lopez has 56 wins in his professional career. In addition to being the King of The Cage Heavyweight Champion, he has held the Light Heavyweight, Heavyweight and Super Heavyweight Titles multiple times.

Fabiano “Pega-Leve” Scherner, an acclaimed jiu-jitsu fighter in his home country of Brazil, now hangs his hat in Portland.

The evening’s co-main event is the Women’s Strawweight for fighters weighing less than 115 pounds. The Featured Event will see Justin Zabroski of Corvallis take on Ricardo Martin in the

Lightweight (155 lbs.) men’s division.

Doors to the arena open at 5 pm, with fights starting at 6 pm.
