Tillamook’s newly completed Hoquarton Trail will be the scene of a community party this Saturday, May 4, as the City of Tillamook and community partners host a Waterfront Walk.

The improved trail is about a half mile from start to finish; flat, and great for running, walking and biking.

During Waterfront Walk there will be booths set up along the entire length of the trail, with activities stretching from Sue H. Elmore Park through Goodspeed Park and into Werner Beef & Brew.

Attractions will include boat rental from Kayak Tillamook County, house root beer from Pelican Brewing, cake from Pacific Restaurant, live marimba music from Tillamarimba and a driftwood boat building station from Tillamook Bay Watershed Council.

The Oregon Coast Railriders will be on hand to offer short demos alongside a community art booth from Art, Accelerated. At Werner Beef & Brew, the Tillamook School of Dance will be on stage accompanied by live music.

Shuttles will be available for folks who walk from one end to the other and would prefer a ride back to the other end.

Waterfront Walk will run from 11 am to 2 pm.
