The skies above Lincoln City will explode with color on Wednesday, July 3, as the Devils Lake Neighborhood Association gets a head start on Independence Day celebrations with its sixth annual fireworks display.

The show, orchestrated by Western Fireworks, will start at 9:30 pm, lasting 20 to 30 minutes and including some very special displays.

Fireworks will be launched from a barge centrally located on the lake near Brown Bear Park, with the show clearly visible from D River Wayside, Regatta Park and Sand Point Park as well as by boaters enjoying an evening on Devils Lake. To maximize safety, a boat-restriction zone will be established around the fireworks barge. No open flame candles, sparklers or any other kind of fireworks should be used while operating a motorboat.

In the run up to the show, the association will also be leading a boat parade starting at 7 pm at Regatta Park. Participants are asked to deck out their boats with patriotic fare for a celebratory lap around the lake.
