Join MidCoast Watersheds Council for a restoration work party on Friday, Sept. 13, to help remove invasive, non-native nightshades from the riparian zone of Little Lobster Creek in the Alsea River Basin.

The group will meet at Ray’s in Waldport at 9 am, then carpool or caravan to the site. Restoration work will go until 2 pm with lunch and snack breaks as needed.

Bring water and food, sun and rain protection and working (preferably waterproof) boots and gloves. Garbage bags to take the invasive vegetation off site will be provided but extras are encouraged.

To RSVP, email restoration program assistant Ari Blatt at or call 541-265-9195.
