Lincoln City will be sizzling this Saturday, July 13, as the Beach, Bacon and Brewfest returns for a fifth year of decadent delights at Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
Held on the casino’s oceanfront lot, the fun-filled event will see charity cooking teams serving up bacon bites for guests to enjoy, with all proceeds from bacon bit sales going straight to the good causes.
Using meat provided by Sunnyvalley Bacon, the charity teams will be competing to win votes from the tasting public as well as vying for the approval of judges including Helen Raptis of AM Northwest.
Guests can sample the delectable creations in exchange for bacon bit tickets, which are available at a dollar apiece. This year’s participating nonprofits are Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce, Depoe Bay Food Pantry, Family Promise of Lincoln County, American Legion Post #116, My Sisters’ Place, Taft Tiger Boosters, Neighbors For Kids, Bay City Cruisers, RSVP and Mouse Factory Cooperative Preschool.
In addition to the bacon recipe competition, food vendors will be serving up a host of other specialties, which guests can enjoy alongside some 20 microbrews and ciders.
