Registration is now open for a series of animation, theater, puppetry and video workshops offered by the Oregon Coast Children’s Theatre/Oregon Coast Children’s Center for the Arts in Toledo.

The workshops give kids in grades four through 12 the chance to present a short children’s story, learn puppetry and animation techniques, and get a grounding in theatrical design. In the final stages of the workshops, they video tape their work which then can be used for their own portfolio. Some students will have the opportunity to create their own story into a short animation.

Registration night will be on Wednesday, July 10, at 4 pm at the Oregon Coast Children’s Center for the Arts located at the Olalla Center at the old Mary Harrison Elementary School on 3rd Street.
