GB parade

Preparations are well underway for the annual Gleneden Beach Independence Day Parade, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year on Thursday, July 4.

The parade will see Gleneden Beach Loop packed with colorful marchers and floats alongside a vibrant vendor fair.

Entries are now being accepted for the parade, with motorized and non-motorized sections available. Registration forms are online at www.glenedenbeachparade.com/parade-registration.

Vendor booths will be located in the parking lot adjacent to Eden Hall and in various locations along the parade route, running from 10 am to 3 pm. Vendors are welcome to sell crafts, food and specialty items. For details on becoming a vendor, go to www.glenedenbeachparade.com/vendor-registration.

Anyone who wants to help out at the event is invited to come along to volunteer meetings on the first and third Thursdays at noon at the Side Door Café. Can’t attend the meetings, but want to volunteer? Sign up at the Side Door Café.

“We are grateful to all those who continue to help make this parade an incredible experience year after year,” said organizer Sherry Wilmsen, “and invite you back to celebrate one of the best years yet.”
