There is still time to be part the 2018 Pacific NW Marine Technology Summit, which will flood Newport with expertise and entrepreneurism in October.
The summit will kick off on Wednesday, Oct. 10, with ship tours of the R/V Oceanus at 4 pm followed by a kickoff reception at Hatfield Marine Science Center from 5 to 7 pm.
Dr Rick Spinrad, former NOAA chief scientist, will deliver the keynote address, “Innovations in Marine Technology” followed by two days of sessions and presentations at the Best Western Agate Beach on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 11 and 12.
An Oct. 11 gala event at Oregon Coast Aquarium will feature dinner and drinks alongside an address from state Rep. David Gomberg on workforce development efforts for the marine technology industry.
