Newport Public Library will continue its “A Universe of Stories” summer reading program this Saturday, July 20, with a series of “TED Talks” exploring space-related topics.

TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, is a nonprofit organization whose slogan is “Ideas Worth Spreading.”

The screening will include “Can a black hole be destroyed?” by Fabio Pacucci, “Adventures of an asteroid hunter” by Carrie Nugent, “Inside the black hole image that made history” by Sheperd Doeleman, “The living tech we need to support human life on other planets” by Lynn Rothschild and “What is the universe expanding into?” by Sajan Saini.

The talks will run from 2 to 3 pm at the Library, 35 NW Nye Street.
