Registration is open for a pair of fall art classes offered by the Tillamook OSU Extension Service in partnership with the nonprofit Art Accelerated Gallery.

Starting on Wednesday, Oct. 10, Thea DeFeyter will lead “Art and Introspective Journaling,” a course aimed at helping students create meaningful artwork that draws upon their own life experiences. Techniques will include basic drawing, shading, line and perspective. Classes will run from 5:30 to 7 pm every Wednesday through Nov. 28. Cost is $60 and includes supplies.

In “Express yourself with Acrylics,” Art Accelerated gallery manager Christine Harrison will show students different ways to start planning and completing a painting. Learn about color mixing, mediums and ways to use acrylics.

“Working in a group with people who share your interests leads to unexpected insights,” Harrison said. “Join the fun and express yourself!”

The class will run from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm every Saturday from Oct. 20 through Nov. 17. Cost is $45 and includes basic supplies.

Both classes will take place at the Art Accelerated Gallery, 1906 3rd Street.

Pre-registration is required. For more information, call 503-842 3433 or go to
