Emergency preparation is serious business, but it can be fun too, as the folks at North Lincoln Fire & Rescue hope to show this Saturday, June 15, with a Community Appreciation & Life Safety Event in Lincoln City.

The vibrant get-together will see the parking lot at the St. Clair Station filled with eye-catching attractions, including the SERV-PRO bouncy house and a state-of-the-art tsunami escape pod.

Guests will enjoy free hot dogs, some fun games, a drone demonstration and the chance to take a selfie with Bigfoot, who will be making an appearance as part of the district’s wildfire prevention campaign.

Free children’s bike helmets will be on offer, alongside raffle prizes. Guests will be able to chat with members of CERT, the American Red Cross and Pacific West Ambulance as well as catching up with staff and volunteers from North Lincoln Fire & Rescue

The event will run from 10 am to 2 pm at the St. Clair Station, 4520 SE Hwy. 101.
