When it comes to the formula for the perfect fund-raiser, the folks at the Lincoln County Historical Society have got it cracked.
The society’s Annual Crab Krack will return this Sunday, Feb. 17, treating guests to a luscious fresh local Dungeness crab dinner and live jazz in the company of friends and neighbors.
The event is made possible thanks to the generosity of a long list of local restaurants and merchants as well as the donation of crab from the Yaquina Bay commercial fishing community.
This whole crab feast includes various side dishes, an array of desserts, no-host bar, live music by the Bringetto Jazz Duo and both a silent and oral auction.
Event proceeds will be used to complete the Doerfler Family Theater at the Pacific Maritime Heritage Center. The highly anticipated theater project will be completed this spring.
The Crab Krack will start at 4 pm at the Best Western Agate Beach Inn in Newport.
Tickets, $55 or $45 for historical society members, are available at the Burrows House Museum and the Pacific Maritime Heritage Center. For more information or to book tickets, call 541-265-7509.
The Agate Beach Inn is offering a special rate for guests who mention “Crab Krack” when making their reservations at 541-265-9411 or 800-547-3310.
