The challenges caused by lack of child care on the Oregon Coast will be center stage at a Tuesday, Sept. 25, panel discussion hosted by the Central Oregon Coast Chapter of the National Organization for Women.

Titled “Crisis in Child Care in Lincoln County,” the discussion will feature panelists including Alma Baxter of Department of Human Services; Toby Winn, director of Neighbors for Kids; Lola Jones, director of Samaritan House; Barbara Dougherty, director of Samaritan Early Learning Center; Lesley Ogden, CEO of Pacific Communities and North Lincoln Hospitals; and Brigette Ryslinge, president of Oregon Coast Community College.

The goal of the meeting is to strategize towards solutions and the public is invited to participate. The panel discussion will start at 6 pm at Newport Public Library, 35 NW Nye Street.
