Depoe Bay will get into the holiday spirit this Saturday, Nov. 30, when friends and neighbors gather at the sea wall for the tree lighting celebration.
Volunteers from the Depoe Bay Chamber of Commerce will be serving up hot chocolate, cider, cookies and candies to accompany the caroling and socializing. The celebration runs from 4 to 6 pm, with the tree lighting at 5 pm.
And on Thursday, Dec. 5, the chamber of commerce will host its annual community holiday dinner at Depoe Bay Community Hall.
This pot-luck dinner is for Depoe Bay area residents and chamber members. Turkey and ham are provided, and guests should bring a side dish or dessert to share along with their own tableware, plate and cutlery. Guests coming with children should bring a wrapped present with the child’s name on it to place under the Christmas tree.
The dinner will start at 5 pm at 220 Bay Street, Depoe Bay. To RSVP for the meal, call 541-765-2889.
