The Oregon Humanities’ Conversation Project will continue at Tillamook County Pioneer Museum this Saturday, April 13, with a discussion on ageing by educator and author Melissa Madenski.

In a discussion titled “How We Grow Old; Stories of Aging in Oregon and Beyond,” Madenski will look at the stories that shape how people think about growing old and how to acknowledge the unique differences among aging individuals.

“Where do the true stories get separated from the myths and family legends?” she said. “No matter our age, we all hear and tell stories about growing older that reflect our own ideals and fears — and the ideals and fears of our communities.”

Madenski’s presentation, which is free and open to all, will begin at 1 pm at 2106 Second Street in downtown Tillamook.
