Family Promise of Lincoln County will celebrate five years of helping homeless families this Monday, June 17, with a party at the Beach Club Event Center in Lincoln City.

Since 2014, Family Promise of Lincoln County has helped families get back on their feet, working with various churches and community volunteers to offer shelter, meals and comprehensive assistance.

Monday’s celebration will run from 5 to 7 pm and will serve as an opportunity for Family Promise to thank the volunteers, churches and community donors who have helped the group accomplish its goals again this year. Graduated families will be on hand to reconnect with everyone and share their success stories. Previous president and executive director Hanna Connett will be returning for the celebration as well.

Finger foods and beverages will be served.

“We hope volunteers and other members of the community will join us to hear what we do and what is happening at Family Promise,” said Executive Director Elizabeth Reyes. “It takes the whole community to make our program successful, so we want to share how our families are doing and what we have accomplished and to say thank you to everyone.”

“We are grateful for the support of the community. We could not have gotten here without it,” said board president Sue Anderson. “We need your support now more than ever, to enable us to continue serving the families.”
