Renaissance music from Scotland, Ireland and England will meet tunes from the Beatles when Byrdsong Consort play the Little Log Church and Museum in Yachats this Saturday, June 8.

Playing on harpsichord, viols, violins, traverso and recorders, the group will music from the 16th to the 18th centuries, including works by O’Carolan, Playford, Brade and Falconieri, as well as a few favorites from the Fab Four.

The group, named in honor of English Renaissance composer William Byrd, includes Michael Bardossi, Alice Barkan, Julia Heydon, Elinora Sears and Tom Sears, all of Eugene.

The concert will begin at 3 pm at 328 West Third Street.

The suggested donation is $10 per person, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Little Log Church and Museum.
