The North Coast Squid journal of writing and art will celebrate the launch of its latest edition this Saturday, Nov. 2, at Manzanita’s Hoffman Center for the Arts.

The literary magazine offers local writers and artists — as well as those with strong connections to the North Coast — a way to share their work in print. This edition, with more pages and more color images than ever, features the work of 53 contributors.

The celebration will feature readings by 10 published authors, a gallery show of published artists and a cake displaying the cover of the latest journal.

The gallery show will be on display at the Hoffman Center through November, featuring work by 15 of the artists who are published in the latest edition.

Copies will be available to purchase during gallery hours and in bookstores along the coast by mid-November.

Saturday’s launch party, which is free and open to all, will start at 7 pm at 594 Laneda Avenue.
