The spice of life will served up in double quantities at the Lincoln City Cultural Center this Friday, April, 26, in a Community Days celebration of salsa and strings.

From 4 to 6:30 pm, Oceana Family Literacy Center will present a reprise of “Secrets of Salsa & More,” with Oceana families bringing their best salsa recipes and handing out complimentary bags of tortilla chips. Guests are invited to sample, talk to the cooks, learn about the recipes and even buy a jar or two to take home.

After the salsa, guests can head down to the auditorium for a Community Days concert by “guitarrista” James Kline. A classical guitarist, composer, singer-songwriter and innovator of the 19-string arch harp guitar, Kline is an artist who constantly renews and reinvents himself as he travels the world. As a classical guitarist, he studied in Spain and England, but has also worked as a wilderness guide and a commercial fisherman. He is co-founder of the neo-Celtic group Bardou, with whom he performs regularly.

Kline’s concert begins at 7 pm, with admission by donation.

The Lincoln City Cultural Center is located at 540 NE Hwy. 101. For more information, call 541-994-9994.
