The group has performed at prestigious venues including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and at Charles University in Prague.

Grants Pass High School student Charlie Jarvis will serve as guest cellist at Saturday’s concert, accompanying the quartet on performances Franz Schubert’s “Quartettsatz” and Franz Joseph Haydn’s “String Quartet in D Major, Op. 76 No. 5.”

Jarvis will also open Saturday’s concert, playing as part of the Cascade String Quartet from Grants Pass High School. The quartet, which also features Camille Schaafsma and Sean Bullock on violin and Julianne Burdis on viola, will perform Bach’s “Brandenburg Concert No. 3” and “Quartet in F Major, Op. 96 ‘The American’” by Antonin Dvorak.

The concert will begin at 7 pm at Newport Nazarene Church, 227 NW 12th Street. Admission is free, but donations are accepted at the door.
