blue pill

The cast and crew at Lincoln City’s Theatre West are ready for action as they present “Sex Please We’re 60.”

Written by Michael and Susan Parker, the play chronicles the romantic shenanigans at Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast, where the prim and proper Mrs. Stancliffe enjoys return custom from a large number of senior female guests. Her elderly next-door neighbor, the silver-tongued Bud “The Stud” Davis, claims they come to spend time with him in romantic liaisons. Things get even more heated when Mrs. Stancliffe’s other neighbor, and would-be suitor, Henry Mitchell, decides to try out his latest invention — a blue pill called “Venusia” that increases the libido of menopausal women.

Chris Evans plays Bud Davis, with Alice Luchau as Mrs. Stancliffe, Dave Jones as Henry Mitchell, Cindy Jones as Victoria Ambrose, Sharon L. Whitmer as Hillary Hudson and Ida Liise Putansu as Charmaine Beauregard. The play is directed by Debby Rhein, assisted by Andrew Schmitz.

The play runs through August 31, with performances at 7:30 pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2 pm matinées on Sunday, July 21 and Aug. 18.

Tickets, $15 for adults or $13 for seniors and students, are available by calling 541-994-5663. Leave a message and someone will call you back.

Theatre West is located at 3536 SE Hwy. 101.
