Pacific City will serve up Oktoberfest fun a stone’s throw from the town’s iconic rock on Saturday, Oct. 5, when the Kiawanda Community Center hosts the aptly named Roktoberfest.

The all-ages celebration will feature authentic food, a boisterous beer garden, music, dance performance and raffles.

The Oar House Bar & Grill and MegPies Café and Bakery will be serving up pretzels with cheese or mustard sauce, potato salad, sauerkraut, spaetzel, beer brats, German sausages and delicious lemon and cherry strudels.

The beer garden will feature brews from Boneyard, Buoy, Fort George, Georgetown, Migration, Nectar Creek, Pelican, Pfriem and Rogue. Wine and 2 Towns Cider will also be on offer.

Roktoberfest will be open from noon to 6 pm. All ages are welcome throughout the day, and there will be additional activities for kids from noon to 3 pm.

Admission is $20, which includes a Roktoberfest pint glass, four taster tickets, two raffle tickets and a $5 coupon towards the entry fee for the evening concert from The Avett Others.

Playing from 7 to 9 pm, this tribute band will entertain with covers of The Avett Brothers numbers as well as original songs.

Admission to the The Avett Others concert is $15 and includes free food, with beer and wine available for purchase.
