By Jaimee Lee Gentile

There is still time to catch the latest exhibit at Manzanita’s Hoffman Center for the Arts, combining the intricate and delicate art of Jaimee Lee Gentile and sweeping encaustic pieces by Karl Kaiser.

Kaiser’s “Coastal Inspirations” encaustics are linear and abstract, filled with layers of color. His art is inspired by gazing out to ocean and sky while walking down south on Manzanita beach to the Nehalem River jetty.

“Paintings for Hummingbirds” by Jaimee Lee Gentile are miniature watercolors featuring the natural world. Gallery guests are invited to use a magnifying glass to enhance the viewing experience.

The exhibit is available to view from 1 to 4 pm from Friday, Feb. 22, through Sunday, Feb. 24, at 594 Laneda Avenue.
