Manzanita’s Hoffman Center for the Arts is hosting a special Writing Lounge event on Saturday, June 22, aimed at people planning to submit pieces to the North Coast Squid literary journal.

Facilitated by Writing Lounge lead Marcia Silver, the Squid Writing Lab will offer participants the chance to get feedback from fellow writers and help put the finishing polish on their piece.

The North Coast Squid was first published in 2012 in collaboration with The North Coast Citizen and is now published by the Manzanita Writers’ Series. This literary magazine offers local writers and artists — as well as those who have a strong connection to the North Oregon Coast — a way to share their work in print.

The Squid Writing Lab will run from 10 am to 12:30 pm at the Hoffman Center for the Arts, 594 Laneda Avenue.

Cost is $10 and space is limited to 10 participants. To register, go to www.hoffmanarts.org/events/writing-lab.
