“The Seeing Eye” by Alissa Melin

Artwork by local students will be on display at Newport’s Yaquina Art Association Gallery in a special exhibit running through March 28.

“Creativity from bright young minds is something we like to celebrate,” said YAA spokesperson Mary Young. “YAA has a long tradition of donating art supplies to local schools.”

Artwork on display includes pieces by students at Sam Case Elementary in Newport, Newport Middle School and Crestview Elementary in Waldport.

The exhibit will be available to view from 11 am to 4 pm daily at 789 NW Beach Drive.
