Randy Porter

The INHOUSE Jazz concert series will continue this Sunday, Sept. 1, when vocalist Annie Averre hosts an evening of music at a private home in Siletz.

Featuring Grammy-nominated musicians pianist Randy Porter and bassist John Wiitala with special guest saxophonist Wayne De Silva, this trio will showcase classic ballads, jazz standards and deliver a combination of classic jazz and Latin standards with favorite selections from the artists’ recordings. The concert is the last in the piano series of the INHOUSE Jazz 2019 Season.

Wiitala has worked with some of the greatest names in jazz, including Joe Henderson, Junior Cook, Charlie Rouse and James Moody. De Silva, originally from Hawaii, currently resides in the San Francisco area where he plays in clubs, festivals and concerts. Nominated for the 60th Grammy Awards, Porter’s release “Porter Plays” is a mix of swing, harmony and lyrical adventure.
