“All Things Equal” by Lloyd Lindley

Forget flavor of the month, Manzanita’s Hoffman Center for the Arts is interested in the color of the year — green to be precise.

The center is now accepting applications for its “Green Piece” show, which launches in January. Tillamook and Clatsop county artists of all mediums are invited to participate. Ceramics, collage, fiber, drawing, painting, photography and sculpture are all welcome. Artists can submit one piece each, and all submissions muct include the color green.

Submissions should be delivered between 2 and 4 pm on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020. Artists must prepare artwork for easy and secure hanging or display using professional art hanging hardware.

The show will launch on Saturday, Jan. 4, with a public reception from 2 to 4 pm offering refreshments and good cheer. This event is free and the public is invited to attend, enjoy the gallery and view the repairs and renovations completed during December.

The “Green Piece” show will continue every weekend through February 2. Items will be offered for sale with 70-percent commission to the artist and the remainder to the Hoffman Center for the Arts.

The Hoffman Center for the Arts is located at 594 Laneda Avenue in Manzanita.
