Coast Weekend aims to serve residents by providing information on events and other news of interest along the coast. During the next few weeks, the publication’s coverage will be adapted to represent the coast’s current culture.

Inside this edition, you’ll find a list of online resources to keep you active, creations of local artists and a list of restaurants open for takeout orders. The restaurant list is updated regularly at bit.ly/2QwiUjc.

While we all continue to adjust to our new normal of social distancing and staying inside when possible, I want to hear from you. What are you doing to keep busy? What do you want to see in Coast Weekend?

If you’re a creator with a video or new piece to share, send along a video or photos. This can look like a variety of things like an at-home concert or a recipe to share.

Please send any submissions or suggestions on what you’d like to see in Coast Weekend to me at aevans@dailyastorian.com.

While times are tough and our futures uncertain, if we continue to help each other when possible, that’ll help lessen the strain. In these times, remember to support each other, whether it’s by calling a friend or buying a to-go meal from a local restaurant.

Visit the Astorian’s online coronavirus updates page, dailyastorian.com/coronavirus/ for ongoing local updates and news.
