By now, you’ve likely made dozens of homemade meals while staying home.
Whether your sourdough rose to the occasion or you haven’t yet perfected your lunchtime sandwich, this week’s Lockdown Lowdown contest will be a place to show off your skills. Coast Weekend wants to see your best at-home cooking video tutorial.
You don’t have to be a professional chef to participate. Meals can be of any confection or simmering creation, either baked or cooked.
In the video, guide viewers through the process of making the dish you’re showcasing. Make sure to include a list of ingredients and describe the recipe’s steps during your video.
If you use an existing recipe for inspiration, please credit the source.
Videos will be uploaded to a virtual gallery. Submissions will be open for voting, which is how the contest’s winners will be determined. The participants with the three highest votes will receive gift certificates to either Trina & Ron’s Place or The Logger.
All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate. If an entrant is under 13 years of age, please use an adult’s contact information when submitting the entry.
Winners of the Lockdown Lowdown Battle of the Bands contest will be published in next week’s edition. Voting for the Lockdown Lowdown quarantine activity photo contest will be open until May 14.
Funds for the contest gift certificates come from a grant through Northwest Oregon Works and Coast Weekend’s sister publication, Oregon Coast Today.
One final contest in the series will be announced in next week’s edition of Coast Weekend.
Contests are open for one week, followed by a one-week voting period. Winners are announced three weeks after each contest opens.
