ASTORIA — The North Coast Food Web is raising funds for a grant program to help local food producers.

The fund’s goal is to aid local farmers and other food businesses that have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus. Money will be divided into small grants for applicants.

The food web has raised over $1,000. The organization is aiming to raise $5,000 to divide into five $1,000 grants or two $2,500 grants. Grantees won’t be required to pay back any funds.

To donate or apply, visit northcoastfoodweb.org/covid19reliefgrant or email the food web at info@northcoastfoodweb.org.
