Who will take home the Magnanimous Mug?

ASTORIA — Benevolent community members are raising funds for local charities in hopes of hoisting Fort George Brewery’s Magnanimous Mug for 2019.

The 12 participants have been chosen and are out gathering cash donations for their nonprofits.

At 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, they’ll bring those donations to Fort George and more money will be raised. The final tallies will be announced at 8 p.m.

The most ambitious fundraiser will receive a matching donation from Fort George of up to $10,000, with $5,000 going to second place and $1,000 to third. The overall winner will also receive the Magnanimous Mug for 2019, a custom mug in Fort George’s Mug Club.

The contestants in this year’s Magnanimous Mug Awards:
