Volunteers for the 2019 Day of Caring.

United Way of Clatsop County seeks volunteers to clean local parks from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 17 in Astoria, Warrenton and Seaside.

The cleanup is for the organization’s Day of Caring. Participants of all ages and skill levels can participate by completing landscaping tasks at local parks or donating off items for local residents.

Participants will receive water and lunch. All participants will be expected to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.

Events will be held at Hilltop Apartments in Astoria, Camp Kiwanilong in Warrenton and Seaside community gardens in Seaside. Items can be dropped off during the clean-up at these locations.

Requested items include non-perishable food, dental care items, personal care items, safety items kids’ comfort items, baby care items, pet care items, gas gift cards and handwritten notes of encouragement for students and teachers.
