Greet spring’s arrival with Lewis and Clark Trail Run Series

Runners enjoy the 2017 Lewis and Clark Trail Run.

ASTORIA — Lewis and Clark National Historical Park will host a virtual "Spring Salmon Run" on Saturday.

The event will replace the park's annual spring fun run. The park's leaders decided to make the event virtual in order to follow the state's coronavirus safety guidelines.

To participate, complete either a 5K or 10K at home or in an approved outdoor space. Then, post a family-friendly photo or video after you've completed the exercise to the park's Facebook page, facebook.com/lewisandclarknationalhistoricalpark/.

Three participants will win a prize. Those whose entries are salmon or junior ranger-themed will be given extra consideration.
