OREGON COAST — Registration for CoastWalk Oregon, a three-day walk on the Oregon Coast Trail, opens April 1.
The event helps fund the North Coast Land Conservancy, as most of each registration cost is a tax-deductible donation to the organization. Funds will go toward the conservancy’s current $10 million project of conserving 3,500 acres of forest adjacent to Oswald West State Park.
Each year, the event takes place along a 30-mile stretch of the Oregon Coast Trail between the Columbia River and Lincoln City. This year’s event will include a walk from Fort Clatsop to the beach on the Fort to Sea and Kwis Kwis trails.
Registration costs $379 and is limited to 90 participants. Lodging and most meals are not included. If the event is canceled, registration fees will roll over for next year’s event.
