Sing familiar carols with Cannon Beach Chorus

The Cannon Beach Chorus, directed by John Buehler.

The Cannon Beach Chorus presents its fall season concert, “Caroling! Caroling!,” at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Cannon Beach Community Church, and 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Nehalem Bay United Methodist Church.

Adult tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door. Students 16 and under get in free.

The chorus, directed by John Buehler, will present Christmas carols by composers John Rutter, Gustav Holst, Dale Grotenhuis, Alfred Burt and Gustaf Nordqvist, with arrangements of well-known carols by Roger Wagner and Fred Bock.

This year’s program will also feature audience participation in singing familiar carols.

“Every year, the chorus ends the program with a piece that allows audience members to sing ‘Silent Night’ and everyone seems to enjoy it immensely,” pianist Susan Buehler said. This year “the audience will have an opportunity to sing a few more Christmas songs with the chorus.”
