ILWACO — A poet based on the East Coast will read some of her work during a virtual event at 7 p.m. on May 28. To register, visit events.trl.org

The event is a monthly poetry reading hosted by the Peninsula Players and the Ilwaco Timberland Regional Library. The performing poet is Joanna Bate Nadeau. She is the daughter of Barbara Bate, who works are a mental health advocate on the Long Beach Peninsula.

Nadeau will read some of her poetry, which will be suitable for ages 18 and older.
