ASTORIA — For March, the Writer’s Guild has decided to celebrate the Association of Writers and Writing Programs coming to Portland this year with a special AWP reading featuring visiting poet Francisco Aragon.

The reading — taking place at WineKraft, 80 10th St., from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 — will also feature other local writers participating in the AWP conference.

Aragon is the author of two books of poetry and a faculty member at the University of Notre Dame, where he teaches creative writing. The AWP conference will be held Wednesday through Saturday, March 27 through 30, at the Portland Convention Center.

If you’re going to AWP and interested in reading at WineKraft, let us know by emailing info@thewritersguild.org. Either way, we hope to see you there — it’s going to be a fabulous literary evening.
