ASTORIA — Submissions are sought for the 2021 edition of Rain Magazine and will be accepted until March 30.
Submissions should reflect the theme “Healing.” All art, fiction, poetry, photos and nonfiction submissions will be considered. Only three submissions per person will be considered. Prose should be limited to 5,000 words.
Label work by its genre in a cover letter or on the manuscript. Include name, address, phone number, email, title, medium and a two-to-three-line biography with all entries.
Email work to email@example.com or mail to Rain Magazine, Clatsop Community College, 1651 Lexington Ave., Astoria, OR, 97103. Include your full name and contact information along with genres and titles of submissions in the subject line of your email message.
The magazine will be produced by class participants of college’s spring Writing 270 course. Community members are encouraged to sign up for the course.
The 2020 edition of Rain Magazine is available to purchase at the Clatsop Community College Bookstore and Lucy’s Books. A virtual public reading of the book is available to view at facebook.com/clatsopcc/.
The magazine includes new writing from Robert Michael Pyle, Wayne Downing, Florence Sage, Jim Dott, John Ciminello, Sophie Bayla, Elizabeth Winters, Jan Bono, Joanne Rideout and others.
