LONG BEACH, Wash. — An Evening at the Attic — an event celebrating the bigger space and new art at The Picture Attic in Long Beach, Wash. — takes place 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. There will be live music by Fred Carter, plus food and other refreshments.

Now art and artists include Darlene Montgomery’s rope baskets, made with recycled crab fishermen’s rope; acrylics by Cecelia Haack; and Beverly Cole’s painted rocks.

Other participating artists: Susan Mitchel, with oils and pastels; Susan Wilson, with stained glass mirrors, wall hangings and jewelry; Linda Marsh with pots and mugs with faces, hand-decorated vases and vessels, and other handmade pottery items; Jean Nitzel’s watercolors and acrylics; Al Betters’ acrylic paintings of wildlife and military life; Carol Couch’s watercolors; Monica Cameron’s watercolors and prints; Lynda Kinnuen’s art pieces crafted with colored leather and nails; Wes Moenhke’s watercolors of trains, bridges and old cars; and abstract oils by Oscar Nelson.

The Picture Attic is at 711 Pacific North on Washington State Route 103, eight blocks north of Bolstad Avenue in Long Beach, Wash.
