CHINOOK, Wash. — The Peninsula Association of Performing Artists will hold auditions in early January for a new production of “Almost, Maine.”

Auditions will happen from 3-5 p.m. Jan. 5 and 5:30 -7:30 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Fort Columbia State Park theater.

Cast members are needed for the romantic comedy, which is a series of up to 11 scenes which focus on love and loss in a mythical East Coast town. The play, which is not a musical, was written in 2004 by John Cariani, an actor writer who appears on TV in “Law and Order.”

The location is at the north end of the Chinook tunnel on U.S. Highway 101. A Washington State Parks Discover Pass is not needed to gain admittance to the theater.

The production will be staged on the weekends of March 6, March 13 and March 20.
