The North Coast Squid will be published later this year.

MANZANITA — Hoffman Center for the Arts will accept writing and art submissions for its annual publication, The North Coast Squid, from Saturday to May 31 at

This year marks the publication’s eighth edition. The literary magazine features the work of writers and artists who live on the North Coast or have strong connections to the region. Poetry, nonfiction, memoirs and fiction are featured.

Submissions will be selected by authors Margaret Chula, Apricot Irving and Deb Vanasse. Art and photographs will be selected by the publication’s editorial team.

Applicants ages 19 and older are required to pay a $3 submission per category. Past issues of the publication are available to purchase for $10 at the Hoffman Center Gallery, Manzanita News and Espresso, and Cloud and Leaf Bookstore.
