Earlier this month, Coast Weekend asked readers to creatively color scenes of the coast for Coast Weekend’s Lockdown Lowdown coloring contest.

Participants showed up for the challenge. Many chose bright colors and few stayed within the lines.

The contest featured seven entries, with participants from both Oregon and Washington. Readers had a week to submit their coloring pages, then a week to vote for their favorite entry.

The results are in.

Tied for first place is Roman, of Ocean Park, and Amulya, of Clatskanie. The kids are joined by siblings Ella and Jack, of Astoria, who received the third highest amount of votes.

The winners range in age from 20 months to 11 years old.

Roman, Amulya, and Ella and Jack will receive a gift certificates good for any Fultano’s Pizza location, thanks to a grant through Northwest Oregon Works and Oregon Coast Today.
